Red Rock Ride was purchased by Idaho Power Company for their corporate collection. The announcement was made by Steve Taylor from Idaho Power at the Awards Program for the Idaho Watercolor Society's Annual Show on June 14.

This kingfisher comes courtesy of my friend and wildlife photographer Scott Frye. We both agree about how elusive these birds are, only he had the tenacity to capture one on film before it managed to fly off. You can see in the bird's eye that he knew that this time, he didn't get away! Gouache, 20 x 24.

"Glimpse of the Snake" won the Opal Carlson Memorial Award at the recent October 2012 Salmon River Art Guild Show in Riggins, Idaho. Opal Carlson was the founder of the Guild. Oil,  11 x 14.
